This was a commission piece for a friend of ours. His little girls love it when he sings a song he wrote about the whole family travelling to the moon in their red minivan. So he asked me to make a stained glass full moon, and also a tiny little red minivan to go with it.

The backstory thing has been a bit of a surprise. No one commissions me to just make a flower, or animal, or whatever. They always have a story. Can you make my mom's dog in stained glass? Can you make a window of my father-in-law on his windsurfer? It's kind of touching really.
