Things to know before reading the story
Note: Words in bold represent the crowd speaking
Words in the middle are song lyrics
Words that are underlined are harmonies meaning one of more singers are singing with the main singer
Oh and to make this realistic, listen to the song while reading the chapter. If you don’t own the song look it up on youtube.com. Trust me this story will make you feel like you are actually there!
Chapter 1: The Ecstasy of Gold intro/Creeping Death-Metallica cover
It was a beautiful evening in the Mobian village of Knothole. Today is Mobiuses 24 annual Freedom Music festival that only comes once a year. This years festival the Freedom Fighters have something special planned for all music fans in Mobius. This year, the Sonic Underground(who is Sonic the Hedgehog’s band) will make a 1 night only performance. That’s right the Sonic Underground are back again spreading the message of freedom by music to all Mobians. Its been for years since the band has been together. Now they are back together for a one night only gig.
Tonight, 6 new members will make their debute. Spark the Hardcore Maniac(He will be playing Lead Guitar), Jazz the Hedgehog(She will be playing piano with Sonia), Silver the Hedgehog(He will be playing bass guitar), Miles Tails Prower(He will be playing Bass Guitar), Chris Thorndike(He will be also play bass guitar), and Blaze “The Inferno” Cat(She will be playing the Drums with Manic). These 6 new members will make their debut with the Underground. Plus the band will also have a special guest singer from Earth to do a few songs with the Underground. Needless to say the, everyone on Mobius was very excited to see the concert.
It was 8:00 p.m. and it was time for the show to start. Thousands of fans gathered infront of a large stage. The fans started chanting “Sonic Underground!” Soon a symphony recording kicked on over the huge speakers that were on the stage. The crowd lets out a huge cheer as they recognized the recording from Ennio Merricone called the Ecstasy of Gold. (A/N: I had to do that because to make the concert more realistic like how a Metallica concert would be) As soon as the sound of an opera singer was heard, the crowd began to sing along with the opera singer. A few fans in the audience started to clap their hands while a few other fans had their ciggerett lighters out swaying them back and fourth.(A/N: I got this idea from watching Metallica’s Live Shit Binge and Perge Live from Sanfransisco concert of 1991).
Soon the song came to an end and Knothole Village shook with cheers as Sonic the Hedgehog, Spark the Hardcore Maniac, Sonia the Hedgehog, Manic the Hedgehog, Chris Thorndike, Miles Tails Prower, Jazz the Hedgehog, Silver the hedgehog, and Blaze The Cat appeared on stage. All of them had their respected instruments.
“Are you ready for one hell of a show tonight, Knothole Village?!” yelled Sonic. The crowd all lets out a huge cheer answering Sonic’s question.
“Anyways, ”said Sonic,” It feels great to see some old friends, family, and even our loyal fans who have been by our side since the whole beginning!” The crowd all cheered in excitement.

“Before we begin,” said Sonic, ”We have 6 new members of the Sonic Underground family that are here to jam with us. Please give a big welcome…To my friends Spark the Hardcore Maniac, Chris Thorndike, Silver the Hedgehog, Blaze the Cat, Jazz the Hedgehog, and Miles Tails Prower!”
At what Sonic said, the crowd lets out a huge cheer welcoming the new members. Spark, Chris, Silver, Blaze, and Jazz all smiled and waved at the roaring crowd.
Tails walked up to an open microphone and said,”If Dr. Robotnik or any of the villians here on Mobius doesn’t like the fact that the Sonic Underground have some new allies on are side and they aren’t down with that..Then we only got two words for ya!”
Tails points out to the crowd who all yell out ”SUCK IT!”
“Before we start our first song,” said Spark, ”Does anybody want to hear some famous covers tonight?” The crowd lets out a cheer answering Sparks question.
Sonic then spoke into his microphone and said, “Alright, our first song tonight is from the Metallica album Ride the Lightning and its called Creeping Death-ah!”
With that, Sonic, Manic, and Blaze jumped in playing the beginning of the song. It was loud and it echoed throughout the Village. One word that described the fans reaction to this was O.M.G. The riff lasted for 4 measures, then, everything stopped. The crowd thought that the song was over. Sonic then lets out a chuckle.
“You guys don’t like the short version don’t you?” asked Sonic teasing the crowd. Everyone in the audience and on stage knew Sonic was only joking around. The crowd as one then yelled out:
NO!

With that, Spark jumped in playing the main riff while Sonia and Jazz played background ancient Egyptian music on their pianos. This lasted for 2 measures. After that both Manic and Blaze jumped in playing a 3 measure long bass-tom/snare drum solo and ended with a crash on the symbols. After fireworks went off in the air, the music came to life as Chris, Tails, and Silver jumped in playing bass. Soon everyone in the Underground was playing in perfect harmony. Sonic looked out to the crowd and noticed that the fans were banging their heads to the music. It was already the first song and everybody was having fun enjoying their freedom. Sonic lets out a chuckle at what he was seeing. Soon, he began the first verse.

Hebrews born to serve, to the Pharaoh
Heed
To his every word, live in fear
Faith
Of the unknown one, the deliverer
Wait
Something must be done, for 100 years!
The band took a break to jam out for a while then, Sonia jumped in singing he chorus:
So let it be written
So let it be done
I’m sent here by the chosen one!
“Sing it my friends!” called Sonia, pointing to the fans. The fans gladly took over singing:
So let it be written
So let it be done
To kill the first born pharaoh’s son
(Sonia)
F*** yeah!
I’m Creeping Death!
The band plays another bridge. Sonic turned to his right and noticed Silver was banging his head while hopping all over the stage. He laughed and continued playing. Spark walked up to his microphone and started the next verse.
Now!
Let my people go, land of chosen
Go!
I will be with thee, bush of fire
Blood!
Running red and strong, down the Nile
Plague!
Darkness three days long, hail to fire!

Another quick bridge was played, then, Manic sang the chorus without missing a single beat.
So let it be written
So let it be done
I’m sent here by the chosen one!
“Knothole, it’s your turn!” Manic yelled to the crowd who gladly sang again:
So let it be written
So let it be done
To kill the first born Pharaoh’s son
I’m creeping death!
“Creep on Mr. Sparky! Go! “ yelled Manic. With that, the band went into the solo. It was led by Spark who was playing really fast notes on his guitar. Sonic and everyone else couldn’t believe how fast Spark’s hands were flying all over the guitar strings. Some of the notes Spark played were held while pressing down on the whammy bar that was attached to his guitar. Doing this gave the note sounding like a whah whah effect. Soon the solo came to an end and all of the instruments stopped playing except for Manic, Blaze, Silver, Chris, and Tails who were playing a steady beat. Sonic was disappointed with the crowd. Some people in the audience were quiet while the rest were cheering.
Sonic told the crowd, ”Alright friends! We got a long and noisy night ahead of us. So you better start making noise now! Repeat after me! DIE! DIE! DIE! DIE! DIE! Your turn!” Sonic pointed to the crowd and to everyone on stage surprised looks the crowd started chanting these words:

“Don’t stop! Keep it going my friends!” yelled Sonic. With that, Sonic sang the next verse while everyone in the audience was chanting the word Die.

(Spark: *in a demonic voice*NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO)

During the whole bridge, Silver held that last syllable in a demonic voice that echoed throughout the village. Once the riff ended, Jazz sang the final verse:

I shall soon be there, deadly mass

Creep the steps and floor, final darkness
Blood
Lamb blood painted door, I shall pass!
“Everybody together! Let’s do it” yelled Sonic. With that, everyone in the whole village sang the final lines to the song:

So let it be done
I’m sent here by the chosen one!
So let it be written
So let it be done
To kill the first born pharaohs son
I’m Creeping Death!
With that, the band went into the outro. Sonia and Jazz were playing an Egyptian style piano beat on their pianos. Soon, Spark and Sonic came in playing a fast solo that made the crowd go nuts. Soon the solo ended and the band went back to the opening riff. It lasted for a while, then everyone on stage held a long note. After a quick dueling drum solo from both Blaze and Manic, the crowd went absolutely insane. The whole band then walked up to the edge of the stage and gave the crowd a bow.

“Thank you very much my friends! It’s great to be together again!” yelled Sonic. The crowd roared in cheers at what Sonic said. Sonic looked at his friends and smiled. He knew that tonight is going to be one hell of a concert.
