I attached most of the fur just a few minutes ago. I will probably post pics tomarrow.

I like it a lot, I didn't realize it was going to be so close fitting unlike most furry heads. I want to do something similar when I get money to make my fursuit.

I think it will give me a better option if I chose to go full suit or partial. Cause most fur heads are a bit too large (out of proportion) to their body, when they wear regular clothes with it instead of the suit.

It'll be just a little while. I've only started to consider building a suit. It's really a HUGE leap for me as far as fandom involvement, you know? ^__^

Looks good so far, asume the fur aplication came out ok, only thing that buged me was the tip of the top part of the muzzle was angled backwards. Asume you scupted a nose to fit that spot .';

Beautiful looking! What sort of materials are used for the mask at this point? Paper mache or something similar? I'll be attempting to make a mache wolf mask.
Also, is there any way to make a hinged jaw on an unfurred mask without it showing? Just curious.

I use just paper and elmers glue. I guess you can call it paper-mache. but it's alot more solid this way.
Just build the hinge bracket into the jaw, so it is un-seen from the outside. wouldn't be too hard. I think I am going to do that for my tiger furry mask.

OK, I've started my mask-slash-head, I'm using newspaper and PVA glue, the closest I could find to Elmer's glue in Australia (I think they're about the same thing). It seems to be working quite well so far. I'll have to post up progress pictures if I can find a decent camera.

I tried using just the straps before, and I had a horrible time trying to make the jaw move correctly. It didn't look so natural. So I combined both, the hinge and the elastic. The hinge keeps the jaw where it's supposed to be and allows it to moveat the right angle. and the elastic is used on the inside to simulate tendons so to speak. So I can use my jaw to open the mask's jaw, and the tendons (or elastic straps) will pull the mouth shut.

If you look close at this pic you can see that I used a clothes hanger for my hinge brackets. I cut 2 peices (about 2 inches long)and and bent them accordingly to hold the jaw in and not be in the way. and you can imbed it into the jaw peice so that it is undetectable. and just leave it free moving inside the mask. If you don't really understand what I'm geting at, just let me know. I can get some detailed pics or video to show you.

Hrmmm... I'm trying to be intelligent, but I might need more explanation on the jaw hinges. I've never done them, so you might have to be patient with me a bit. Could you please give me some more information? Those pics and/or videos sound like a great idea.
