essentially i've envisioned these weird undulating plants with mauve trunks that develop gas-filled seed pods that get really big and then float off. the seedpods then gradually loose gas and either a) sink to the ground where they're secured or b) get stuck in hanging sticky surfaces (there's a lot on this planet) and begin to develop there into trees.
