This is the inside cover of my new sketchbook. I cut out and folded up the envelope, put the sparkly star sticker on it, typed the little letter with my typewriter, cut it out and tucked it inside.
I have issues starting the first page of a sketchbook - it's a self-esteem issue, really; the pages are so pristine and I feel like I'm soiling it with my doodles. Or that what I draw isn't 'good enough', that anyone better than me could've bought this sketchbook and filled it with REAL art, but instead it ended up in my greasy hands. Etc. So this is my way of reminding myself that all my art is good art, at least good to me.
