Normally when a Proton Robot receives fatal damage, its power core will go critical, and explode, Ejecting the Memory Core in the proses.

After that the memory core will send out a distress beacon, which will be detected by the proton Robotics facility. The facility will send out a drone to recover the core, and bring it back to be given a new body!


This is normal for all Proton robots... except Death Ray.


When Death Ray's power core goes critical her memory core dose not Eject.
Instead her body blows up as normal, save her head which will continue to function after her body fails.

At this point she has about 24 hours of energy, (or less if she uses her lazers) before her head goes into shut down, and sends out a distress beacon.

She usaly uses this time to hunt down an kill/destroy whoever, or whatever may have caused her core go critical!
