thank ya!!
in photoshop, when i'm done drawing and i've made sure there's no coloring or anything outside of the lines, i hide the "background" layer and save it as a .png.

a derp version of sai that someone gave me but i cant upgrade it and wont give me a png save option so i cant save anything transparent :/

there's free full versions of SAI out there, you just have to seek them out.
lunapic.com is a photo editor that has a transparency option, but that's better suited for pixel work. aside from that i don't know what to tell you D:
