Cheshen is a long-time arch friend and birthday buddy to Capn' Darcie. He started his teenage years as an orphin and street urchin trying to support his twin sister that was stricken with a terrible disease that could prove to be fatal if not properly treated. He would meet up with his eventual captain and together the two were able to amass enough money to get his sister the transplant she needed. He followed that ginger in her adventures every since. Nowadays he is one of the best forward raiders on the crew and can carry a heavy helping of loot back to the ship when necessary.
