Tabor had a yellow and brown doggy, it lost it's ears, it lost it's eyes..Eventually when I was seven or so it disappeared..sigh. I liked that doggy.

I don't think I've ever washed my plushies in such a monster. Dry clean and bob's your uncle... or however they say that in English.

'bob's your uncle'? I'm not familiar with... dryclean... definately, but we had good success with the washer. I still have my son's pink teddy somewhere. It has had numerous button eyes sewn on and patches done.... it is so precious just for the memories it brings.

Sometimes I've heard that the saying "And Bob's your uncle" is like saying "Presto!" or something. I'm not sure, though. ^^;;

Gotcha... over here, when I was a child, my grandfather would always say, "Well I'll be a monkey's uncle."

This is Snowy, my snow tiger. My mom got her for me to scare away the nightmares when I was very young. I almost chewed her ear off when I got my ears pierced, they got infected and it hurt when mom cleaned them, so I bit her ear instead of crying.

Cute. Charming. It's amusing and interesting how children think toy animals as living. When I was a kid I had a plush koala bear. I can't remember this anymore, of course, but my parents told I had that thing since I was a baby. It had no fur anymore and its glass eyes and nose was full of little scratchs, I am told I had a habit to crawl with the bear, I was easily spotted as the glass eyes of the koala clattered against the floor. But, to your poem. Very cute, I smiled as I read this, the story is very catching. And so adorable. Great little piece.

I think I read a few of these poems of yours, don't really have the strength to delve into the short stories after 'Missy Da Dane'. But could read a few poems still.

my son had a similar bear - 'pink bear' was his name. We still have it somewhere, though he's 25 now. In fact... we have a garage full of mementos... glad you liked the poem.
