I got this beauty in the mail today! It's a kit fox tail, bought from my favorite taxidermist. It's really beautiful and super soft. <3
I probably shouldn't be this excited over a tail, but it's just the first in my budding collection of taxidermy~

I love and wear tails because I respect the spirit of the animal it once belonged to, and I want to feel close to that animal. Not so much in a ritualistic sense, but for me it's more like a security blanket. I like to feel like I have an animal close to me at all times, because I get pretty bad anxiety and I don't always have my dog or cat to go to for comfort. So instead, I sometimes wear a tail to places I know I might get anxious in, so that I have that 'spirit' with me to comfort me. I fully respect, and love the animals my tails (and other remains) come from.
