Sadly, I never actually did get to play through all of Kirby's Adventure myself, but I always loved Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland when I was little. I hadn't played it in years, and watching TheRunawayGuy's new let's play of Kirby's Return to Dreamland made me want to play it really bad. Unfortunately, I had already given my cartridge to my little sister (she's a HUUUUUUGE Kirby fan, and she had never gotten to play Kirby NiD), so I had to go get another copy on eBay. I'm really glad I decided to play it again, though, because now I know how many under-remixed themes the game has!
Of course, that may just be due to a lack of MIDIs to work with...

Oh nice. Just caught this on the front page. Huge Kirby fan... That series has always had incredible music. I actually feel that you've done this track justice. I dislike a lot of remixes due to them sounding too much like thrown together MIDI instruments, but you've managed to mix this in a way that mitigates that wonderfully.
If you like Kirby music, you should check out Kirby's Block Ball. It was on the Game Boy, and more or less a knockoff of Breakout/Arkanoid/Paddle-bouncing-ball-against-bricks games, but it has one of my favorite Kirby soundtracks ever. I did an LP of it, but unfortunately it was my first LP, so the video quality sucks. D:

I know exactly what you mean there. Sadly, I'm not skilled (or informed) enough to make remixes without using MIDI files for foundation, but I still really try to do better than most MIDI remixers do with their work. Most of the time, all I see MIDI remixers do is change the instrument choice and MAYBE the drums, and from what I've seen, only rarely is that even an improvement over the original. Seriously, go on YouTube and look up other remixes of this theme. I'm sure you'll agree. Of course, I used to be mostly guilty of the same thing, but that was when I was first starting out, so I think it's somewhat excusable.
I know how that is, too... I never should have done let's plays until I figured out how the heck to do the recording, editing, and rendering. Thank God I at least know how to do all of that now. I've actually never heard of Kirby's Block Ball before, but I'll have to go look at it. Personally, my favorite Kirby soundtrack is Kirby 64.

Oh yeah, I've been through Newgrounds recently to get a new batch of music for my work CD. This is better than a good 95% of the stuff I snagged on their audio portal. I do know what you mean about starting out on something like this though. Every project takes time and effort to get better at it. Your hard work has definitely paid off, so much so that I don't even mind a MIDI base being used.
Ooh, you're a Let's Play maker too? Awesome! Shall we swap links? :3 http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL8A868973D2EB8A12&feature=plcp There's my KBB playlist.
Kirby 64's soundtrack has all of my love. Kirby Super Star (Original and Ultra), and Kirby's Block Ball do probably rank right up there with it though. I wish those two had more remixes to them though, at least other than Halberd tracks. XD

Well thank you ^^ I'm actually more proud of my recent Pokemon G/S/C: Burned Tower and Super Paper Mario: Count Bleck Fight remixes than anything else, though. On those, I think it's a bit hard to tell that a MIDI was used at all.
Cool :3 I actually have 6 LPs, counting the one I just started a week or two ago. None of them are Kirby games, but I'm really considering doing Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland once I'm done with Darksiders. I've also started doing occasional speedpaints, and I have some AMVs on another site. I think you already subscribed to me earlier (your YT username looks familiar) but here's some links anyway. I put them in chronological order.
Pokemon Red
Pokemon Emerald
Pokemon Flora Sky
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky
Hamtaro: Ham-Hams Unite!
Darksiders
Ugh yeah. Kirby music as a whole is really underrated and does not get enough quality remixes at all. I don't even think the soundtrack for Kirby's Return to Dreamland has been uploaded yet (or at least, I can't find it anywhere on YouTube), and that game's been out for a good while now. Hell, Pokemon Black and White 2 aren't even out anywhere but Japan yet, and those games already have most of the soundtrack uploaded (if not the entire soundtrack) and are getting a bunch of great remixes. What is this I don't even.

Hee, very nice. :3 I need to go back and play SPM again... Good times. I'll hafta go listen to those though!
Hee, I hope to do more Kirby in the future. I never hear anyone talk about Super Star, which was my favorite game in the series for a while. I just recently got bumped down from number one by Return to Dreamland. X3 I'll definitely watch through some of those! Oh, and yeah, that was me that subbed ya. I found your channel in one of your journals.
I know, it's not fair at all. D: I have to say that Kirby holds a spot close to my heart ever since the old days... I remember renting it on the NES and not being able to get past Orange Ocean, and then owning Dream Land 2 for the Game Boy. But man, the few times I got to play Super Star had me hooked like hell, and eventually Crystal Shards drew me in. So many good game with such good soundtracks... I know Pokemon is good and all, but Kirby ranks higher on my list. :3
