My Oldest rat, Coke, passed at 12:58 AM this morning...he suffered from a heart condition and his body finally gave out. I wanted to end his suffering sooner, but all vet offices in my area that treated rats were closed...and there was nothing I could other than do the best I could to make him comfortable, offer him plenty of his favorite treats, and not leave his side until he was gone. He died peacefully in the arms of me and my roommate, it was heartbreaking, but the best way it could of ended I suppose; He definitely knew he was loved. Rest in peace buddy, we miss you and love you so much. <3
