After a bit of a break, some 3D work on a few star wars ships and sutch, chapter 10 comes! I was able to control my ADHD long enough to sit down and finish up writing it, a bit of a surprises, same old generals, and the preperation for chapter 11, the complete war one

The warning bells went off, one hour until they go to hyperspeed and set their plan into motion.
Shadow got up out of bed, slowly opening his eyes, there was a dark mass staring over him. Shadow jumped out of bed, grabbing the figure and pinning him to the wall in a chokehold.
“Augh! Hey! Stop it!” The stranger yelled
as shadows eyesight started to adjust and focus, he could finally make out who the person was “Craulf?!”
“Yea!” Craulf said, getting up and rubbing his neck “God, now I remember why they told us never to scare you”
“Well I had my reasons” Shadow said, turning his back to Craulf “So I am going to take it that it was you in the cargo hold on the pod?”
“yea, I stowed away when you got on...wait! How did you know?!” Craulf said, pacing nervously now.
“You moves a bit when I came in, I noticed it, just didn't acknowledge, now here is my question, how did you get on the ship, past 3 levels of security, to my quarters?” Shadow asked, finally turning to stare Craulf in the eyes.
“Well, they probably thought I was visiting...all the crew knows me” Craulf said

Shadow swore under his breath “Well, looks like I have to remind the crew that you're not allowed on unless I specifically say so”
Craulf looked at the floor, slightly mumbling “I wrote a fake note letting me on...”
Shadow turned, his red fur brightening to a blinding level “You faked a note?!”
“Y-yes...I wanted to come with you guys, all the political crap sucks so much” Craulf Slumped down, slowly into a sitting position against the wall.
“Just because I know how bad political studies are, I am going to let you stay...but do not screw anything up for the crew, or I will personally jettison you out the airlock” Shadow said
“O-ok s-sir” Craulf said, who was noticeably in complete panic
“good” Shadow turned, heading for the door “You are to stay with me unless I say you don't have to, now follow, time to get ready for the jump”
Craulf turned and followed him out the door into the halls, they were a rush of activity, troops rushing to their stations, officers running final scans of the ship, a hover cart carrying explosive rounds to the canons on the upper decks.

The turbolift was cleared and the two headed to the upper decks, the bridge was a hustle of activity, officers shouting orders, final checks were being looked into, and the countdown timer reached the one minute mark.
The head commander turned to Shadow, saluting him and reporting in the data “All systems are at 100% and the crew is ready, our hyperspace route has been triple checked, and strategies gone over with the troops multiple times, everyone and everything is ready for this engagement”
Shadow saluted back “Good, this will be a simple hit and run mission, so we won't receive too much fire if we eliminate the assault ships quickly” He turned to look at the clock “Twenty seconds people! Get to your stations and prepare to launch!”
Shadow pulled Craulf over to one of the chairs, and tied up the straps “Stay here!” Shadow commanded, Craulf nodded and shadow turned to sit in the admiral's command seat, giving him full view of the bridge.
Shadow stared intently at the countdown, slowly ticking down, it got to 5 then stopped as the comm. system next to him started up and general Ricksons voice “All admirals report in, are you cleared and ready for wave one launch.
As the multiple reports came in Shadow picked up his and reported “This is Solar Wind we are prepped and ready”
after 13 more ships reporting in Ricksons voice came back on “Ok we are all ready, countdown timer is going back down, prepare to jump wave one” Then the comm. went silent.
“Ok, jump on my mark” Shadow ordered, watching the timer, 3....2....1 “Jump now!” Shadow ordered, as his navigational officer pulled down on the lever, sending the ship streaking into hyperspace and into the midst of a standoff against not just the rebels, but something far worse as well.
