This was kind of a failed experiment to do grey scale before color. It felt okay until I dropped color on it which then destroyed the image. I really like the pose, but I didn't quite capture the angle I wanted to with this one so I may try it again some other time.
I wasn't going to post this but after I let it sit for a while I figured its at least good enough to put into scraps.

Aww cute, so not deserving of scraps.
If you're unsure about the pose, it could be more that when lifting a wing like that, it would normally be an invitation for someone to curl in under it? So normally you wouldn't also have your butt in the air. :P
Well, of course that's unless you were inviting someone to crawl in further..

The only reason why I can think it might look odd pose wise is because the hinds seem to be fairly square when the chest and forward body is at a more pronounced lean, giving the mid body an odd twist.
I do like how this looks though, the wings and the shadows in particular are very nice.

Yeah that is what I figured you did. If you ever feel like going back to it to mess around, maybe try several layers of color ranging from yellow, orange, red, and maybe a cooler one for the shadows such as a purple/brown? I've seen people use an airbrush setting for this type of coloring as well, not just a color fill. Would be my attempt anyway! If I ever get around to trying it, that is. ^^
