I am guessing morphs are made of sterner stuff. such a blow would, unlike in the movies, be very debilitating.

In the story, Risha was actually knocked out by a phaser blast rather than a blow to the head.

Lizardbeth certainly did a good job.The facial expression and coloring of the face is is especially note worthy for how well it depicts her getting hit by surprise.

I'm guessing this must be some hijacking that hasn't happened yet. I don't remember you taking a blow to the back of the head from Hijackers.

Episode 2 - Passenger Peril. Risha did not have a gun in her hand though, and she was knocked out by a phaser blast. Lizardbeth added the gun without asking if she had one.

And THAT would be the reason for the standing rule to "check six" extremely often! Phasers are such HANDY things, though! Finally, a valid combat option to apply instantly-incapacitating, for-sure-knock-down, with reliably non-lethal results.
