Thank you very much for your kind comment.
Concerning the void, it is a good question. I don't know.
I remember I draw this picture probably last year, when I was testing my water color pencils (on a biscuits box cardboard). At the beginning, I just draw Alphonse with a straitjacket showing his left foot (I am a little bit fetishist in the case you didn't noticed). In order to "motivate" the position of his foot, I added a wire between his muzzle and his toe. Then, I noticed that his tail is still free and that I have some more place at the bottom of the cardboard, so I linked his tail to a spiral. It was only during the inking and the coloration that the spiral slowly became a galaxy then a cyclone.
I will show some self-pride, but I am quite satisfied with this result. The contrast between the rat trapped into darkness and the cloudy vortex below him is quit funny. I was so pride of this picture that I show it to one of my colleague... he simply told me that I was freaky and, of course, he added "mais pourquoi le tourbillon ?" ("why the whirl?") before giving me back the picture and getting out of my office, watching me with a somehow concerned look.

Fetishist? Why I never notice!
Perhaps I was drunk every single time I have seen your pictures, what are the odds? :D
I think I am going through a straitjacket period.
I'm not crazy, but I do find straitjackets kind of sexy. (I am a little bit fetishist in the case you didn't noticed)
You are a man of science. Perhaps you saw an advertizing in the news paper that personnel were required for a lab.
Of course the fine printing said "test subjects" and not "doctors".
Or maybe he was picked up by the doctors because Alphonse it's a rat...

Science could sometime become a risky business: http://alphonselavallee.deviantart......iment-65038413
Straitjacket are sexy, indeed. Yet they are quite unpractical when ones want to tickle armpits.
