Yeah there is nothing like water colors because you can always change your mind on colors and textures. The reason that I went to markers is because now that I do commissions I have to be able to work fact and then store the images flat quickly......but I still do ink paintings for myself
I find myself unable to cope with the speed of drying markers. It's like I want to blend colours, but the marker is already dry on the paper. I do overlays then and it gets to be about 3-4 marker layers at least for me to get desired effect. The work is fast, but only when you're as fast as the drying markers.
I'm still trying to take a grasp over watercolours. And I've seen your ink paintings. They're sweet <3 I like the oriental (japanese) style based on old paintings and prints.
