So she found her way down to her water dish. Previous owner was hydrating her with uh... these gel like things, which I've never seen a tarantula keeper use or recommend but *shrug* Apparently she was pretty thirsty when I got her home! I'll take a better full body shot later when I have her out, once she's calmed down and learned her new home. Old owner had her in a horizontally arranged enclosure with just.. dirt, very thin layer, and nothing to climb on but the glass sides of the tank.

Heheh, I'm not sure he knows what he's doing really, he said "I can tell she's female because of her boxing gloves!" I'm like uh... boxing gloves are something mature males develop to deposit sperm and I see none here but ok. I'll be able to sex her when she molts, I can't really tell ventrally because I'm a noob.
