Haha, it's pretty incredible that for a site filled with such a large number of people with questionable levels of self-esteem, someone bothered to code an announcement like that. Only slightly less regrettable than the WATCH REMOVED message.

Glad not to get one of those yet, but I had one watcher message say user removed account though.

Wouldn't it be a lot more polite to automatically delete the message instead of informing the recipient at all?

It would certainly be far less depressing, that's for sure.

Reminds me of a funny experience I had with an artist I ran into here. We were both commenting on someone else's art. He then watched me and faved my dumb icon art. I commented that I thought it funny that he watched me and faved my bad art, but he said that he liked my comments and the art, then proceeded to suggest that I follow him. I didn't think his art was great, but it had a certain charm, and I had intended to watch him, but it seemed sort of weird and rude to ask me to watch him, so I waited a while before I did. I faved the pieces of his that I liked, and continued to do so as he posted new ones.

Some time later he abruptly unfaved the piece of mine that he had faved. So WTF?

Eventually he nuked all of his content and left the site. Part of what made this all rather amusing to me were his repeated proclamations of what a serious businessman and artist he was, although judging by his art and postings, I would definitely call into question the actual likelihood of either of those assertions.

There are some odd ducks here indeed.
