As many (most) of you already know, I'm a die-hard NASCAR fan. Always loved the underdogs, but there comes a point in the careers of new underdogs where they get their taste of success, their fifteen minutes of fame, and their shot at the big leagues. Matt Kenseth has been doing this since 1998, and now Clint Bowyer, with his recent (and highly questioned) move to Michael Waltrip Racing and the 15 car, has been accomplishing similar feats this season.
Clint Bowyer scored his first win of the season, and sixth career victory, this past Sunday at Sonoma at one of the least likely of places -- a road course.
So here's your hefty dose of happy toonyness for the day :P

This looks great! I'm happy to see more arts from u! :D It was also really great to see Bowyer win on what is probably my favorite track on the schedule!
His move to MWR mostly had to do with sponsor dollars :(
It was either, 1. 5-hour Energy couldn't come to an agreement with RCR, or 2. They wanted to be on an MWR car more. Waltrip is a bigger name than Childress, in terms of mainstream media. Either way, it's paid off. MWR, as a whole, has been better than RCR this year. Truex & Bowyer are in Chase spots, and the 55 has almost won with both Martin & Vickers.
Its great to see loyalty still exists with his old friends at RCR tho. Burton pulled up next to him in Sonoma to congratulate him :3
