First note: This story is completely original, even though it uses Forgotten Realms characters and, as such, bears very little resemblance to the actual forgotten realms story. So don't tell me it's wrong... it's an AU/RP/Fic.

Anyway, though Malar is the older of these two gods, he is seen as a lesser power as he has so few humanoid worshippers (usually only lycanthropes).
However Xvim, who rose to be an intermediate power, found his ultimate conquest in 'taming' the god Malar, claiming his title as 'tyrant beast king'.

For this time, Malar became more widely known, but not as the beast king... he was known as the 'chained one' because of the bindings Xvim placed upon him. The two together represented to two sides of the animal kingdom... the calculated hunter and the savage killer.

But as Malar got more popular and gained more worshippers, he became more powerful... he was ready to reclaim his title.
