Hey peoples! For those of you who don't follow me on my fb page (http://facebook.com/themadmasker) here's an update! I went into Masters FX for an interview (Steve Wang personally recommended me to this shop :D) last wednesday. They weren't sure if they had work for me (cos the job that Steve had mentioned me for, I missed out on by 1 hour 8I) but after seeing my portfolio and chatting with me, my interviewer called up the shop manager. They hired me on the spot. :) I started after I filled out paper work that day!!! It was awesome! I'm mostly doing shop tech work, but they really like my sculpture and want to have me start painting some of the pieces for the TV show I can't talk about...
I wanted to draw this image up cos I know all you guys won't read a journal and might not even read this description but also I wanted to draw it to be proud. I am proud of myself for proving people wrong who thought I couldn't make it. For the people who thought "you're just a girl". This is my big FUUUUUUUUUUUUCK YOOOOOOOOOOOU BEETCHES to those people! >:(
But it's also an explanation for people wondering where I've been! I miss being able to draw up some stuff and sculpt for myself and others! Fear not! Commissions will open up again in the fall (sept-ish)! As well as the Turian and new Asari heads will be done! :) Exciting things are coming up! Hope you'll all bare with me!

Well, I've been working on silicone and fiberglass molds, casting up some heads so far. I also made a couple 'cores'( one dor a chest prosthetic and one for some werewolf claws). Next I'm going to be painting some statues to look bronze and whatevee else thry put me on :)
I'm also still at Knotts Berry Farms for the Halloween Haunt stuff. Mostly on weekendz atm. Lol If I'm not at Masters that is xD

Well, the industry has been in decline due to CGI and some of the older people don't want fresh blood in. But a lot of people, even with less work, realize that you need freshness. Lol. And since I'm younger/newer and willing to help oit however the shop needs, I'm not one of 'those art school kids' from *enter make up school* who thinks they are above anything but sculpture. And when you don't act like that, a shop will like you, give you more of a chance and hire you repeatedly.
And then, people from the shop will want to work with you at other shops and would try and recommend you.
Lol. The prob with this biz is keeping up. If you lag behind, you are forgotten in an instant.
But anyhow. Sure, I can answer questions for ya. XD
