For years, Mei-Hua has felt inferior to her older brother, Jun-Fan. She has continued to practice Baguazhang in hopes of surpassing him, but recently, her pride was hurt far worse than ever. She fought all out against him, in front of Brittney and her friends, and in spite of her improved ability, she was losing....badly. At the climax, she fell to her knees and broke into tears, because she was hurt, and was beginning to think she was never going to earn his respect. At that point, Jun-Fan looked like he was going to finish her, but instead, he patted her head softly and smiled warmly.

Jun-Fan: "Let it go, little sister."

Mei-Hua: "I can't. I just wanted to make you proud of me."

Jun-Fan: "You already have."

Mei-Hua then stop crying, and looked him in the eye.It was the first time he treated her so kindly in years. She never wanted to bear him. She just wanted him to see her as an equal. But it seems she accomplished that long ago.
