This is a harvestmen. I rather like them. Despite what people think they are 1. Not a spider, and 2 are not poisonous lacking any venom glands.

arachnids. similar to ticks, scorpions, mites etc. just not spiders

There only defense are detachable legs, running and a really bad smell. you probably wouldn't notice the smell unless you put your face near it.

^^ I always thought these were closer to Solifuge's rather than spiders from what I've red. Harvestmen are adorable, and harmless.

Hm,.. I had always heard they have a nasty vemon, but not a mouth big enough to use it on humans.
Had one try to bite me once.

They do have tiny mouths, omnivores, no venom glands. There defence includes a bad smelling liquid and detatching a leg.
