I finished the paw pads for the new partial I'm working on (comission *wheeee*)
And I hate Latex. I really really really really hate it. It curses not reliable (one point fully cured the other one next to this is still liquid.) There are big airbubbles on the surface where they shouldn't be because I was careful and gnah I really hate this. And than the color I mixed it carefully and several minutes but there ar darker and brighter colour spots >_>
Because of this I gave plaster a new chance. At the moment there is a mold waiting to be finished but I doubt that this will work.
And I don't know if I could trust ease release from smooth on for casting silicone things in silicone molds.
Does anyone gain experience with this stuff?
I would be open for comission on them if I get rid of this problem (or if anyone don't care for this problem with airbubbles and such)

Fill the mold, then pour out as much of the latex as you can, bang the mold on the table a little, then let that first layer dry completely. Do another layer like this. You can do 2-4 layers like this before just going ahead and filling up the rest of the mold to the top. Then let it sit until you're absolutely sure everything inside is dry, never pull it out prematurely even if you really really want to. xD Should take about two days, depending on the depth of your mold.
