...That's Dragon and Ferret together.
A few days ago I was listening to this podcast late at night when I began re-listening to an old episode and heard the intro again. All of a sudden, the idea to draw this just popped in my head and I was literally eager to start it.
I'm definitely not the best artist you'd see on FA; but I like to think I'm fairly good at drawing. However, this was the first time that I've ever done it using purely digital software rather than a good ole' pencil and paper. But, several days and 8 hours of on-off work later, I've ended up with this: the art you see above, and terrible neck pain (but, oh, was it worth it).
Considering my lack of experiencing using digital software to make art, I think it turned out fairly well (it did look A LOT grander and more interesting in my head, though). However, I think Alkali's head turned out to small (and I was unable to draw his hands at the sides of the chair to emphasis his hiding). I also wanted to add a table-top microphone to the centre of the desk, but when I tried to get down to doing it, I realised that I didn't how to do it either! Also, there was only so much I could do with shading, and my method basically developed as I further worked on this drawing. That's just my perfectionistic qualities coming to text, I guess. Meh, I might *try* to make a '2.0' later, or something.
The Dragget Show is hosted by
xandertheblue and
alkalibismuth . It's a crazy, random podcast, and I personally find it to be hilarious to listen to. You can find it at http://draggetshow.podomatic.com/

Note: It's funny how much this seems to have become like an advertisement since I decided to do this in the first place...
