EDIT: might have to F5
The Ilik is a strange creature. Trent found it one day while he was in the Nether, trying to repair some of the groundwork to the Tree's base, when he found this little thing stranded on a hunk of brick. Not really sure where, or how the poor thing came to be stuck there, picked up the little fella and took him/her home with him.
The Ilik has no defined gender, from what can be seen anyways. Its about 2 and a half feet tall, and about 2 feet in length, unless its legs are fully out-sretched (IE: Laying flat on the ground), at which point its 4 and a half feet long. It has the curiousity and playfulness of a puppy. It makes strange chirps and squeeks, and tends to jump around alot when excited. Its skin is as smooth as scales, but feels slick like a dolphin's, and feels terribly cold. Trent has actually noticed when its not playing, or snuggling up to some one, it actually seems to be shivering, either from its unexplainable coldness, or maybe an unknown element to living in the Nether. After taking care of the little creature for awhile, Trent felt bad for taking it away from its natural environment, so he returned it back to the Nether, but on a larger landmass, one that he had connected to the Tree's base, to allow for easy traveling to visit the little guy.
It seems much happier in the Nether then in the real world, but loves playing fetch all the same, and its shivering has stopped while in the Nether, but its coldness remains. The shivering might be a response to the lack of magick in the real world as opposed to the Nether, where raw magick of various kinds flow and swirl in harmony. Maybe the Ilik was made from this harmony? Who knows, but for the first real inhabitant of the Nether, its certainly a keeper~♥
