80s Video Game Cartoons - Saturday Supercade & Pac-Man.
From 1982 to 1985 on CBS there was cartoon shows base from arcade games at the time here are two that I love so much plus I have them on VHS and DVD backups heres some screengrap of thouse shows [Happy]
Saturday Supercade:
Saturday Supercade was an hour-long TV program following the adventures of various video game characters. Donkey Kong, Frogger, Pitfall and Q*Bert, all some of the world's favorite video games, had their own cartoons in this spectacular show, as well as a couple of less popular (but very fun) arcade oldies. Unlike many game cartoons, this show did not flop. In fact, this show had such great success that it lasted two years, which is very long for a video game-themed show.
Pac-Man:
Very short lived, the series was one of a number of shows that failed seeking to capitalize on the success of a video game. Everyone from Donkey Kong to Q*Bert has come and gone in animated form almost completely unnoticed, but my theory is that the producers of these sorts of shows don't really expect them to last past one or two seasons. The downside is that cartoons can cost even more than a live-action show, so in the case of Pac-Man, who really wasn't promoting anything besides a video game that everyone on the planet was already playing, just can't be thought of as a success.
You can see the old intro of both Supercade and Pac-Man

Whoa... Pole Position wasn't part of the Saturday Supercade. It was made by an entirely different company, DiC.
It's still a nice montage, though. What the heck was the deal with Ruby-Spears and its obsession with the 1950's, anyway? They turned Q*Bert into Happy Days, and Donkey Kong Jr.'s friend into the Fonz!

HEY! Where's Dragon's Lair? They made a show of it. I remember watching it all the time.

And what about Captain N and the Super Mario Shows?

Pole Position was its own show, and was one of the better game-to-cartoon series, but only because there simply was no plot from the game to ruin.
Dragon's Lair was popular enough to warrant it's own half-hour show, but the Space Ace counterpart was only made in 15 minute episodes, so it fit nicely into the Saturday Supercade four-toons-in-an-hour time slot.
Pitfall Harry was one of the alternate cartoons in the original Supercade lineup.
Ahhhh... memories!!!
