i vote don't explode. with the facial expression and her dialog, it would seem kind of cruel to explode her. then again, making a alternate ending would make both partys happy

I agree with this. From her sad looks, the fact she was crying, and begging for help, if she bursts, she should at least be okay or it'd be too cruel and saddening. Or just have an alternate like you said where she survives.

I would say let her go in this fashion: By tiening her mouth shut and letting her float away into the the sun set, that, or huge explosion, unless the explosion is harmless.
