lol no. I'm just recalling my glory years of being 4 years old and raging at every time i try to jump and fall down a pit in mario!

I remember the very first time I ever played a video game. I walked Mario into that first goomba three times and got game over because I was convinced up on the D-Pad should make me jump. u_u;

Well, with a trigger, you get analog control, so you can accelerate just a little or you can totally floor it, but I admit I was really thrown off by that too.

actually this reminds me of the default controls for super metroid, the mainstream pattern for jump and fire is B and Y, but they made it A and X it's like WTF

AGREED! Cave Story for DSiWare and Kirby Super Star Ultra on the DS were terrible offenders of this. I had to force myself to play the games because I hated the controls so much.

Oh gah, I was also having a terrible time on the computer version, until I found out I could change the controls.

Put them both a three o'clock (A/circle) or 6 o'clock (B/cross).

Japanese PlayStation (any of them) games and system menus use circle for forward and cross for back.
US/Euro ones reverse this and use cross for forward and circle for back. WHY.

Why is the X button on a 360 controller blue instead of green like the xbox logo? How did everyone at Microsoft miss that?
