Trying out Sai for a bit.
To be honest? I hate it. I absolutely hate it. It's not clear on anything, I don't know what anything actually does, sure the tools have names but how am I supposed to know what it does without screwing something up? Ugh.
Only plus-side this program has, IMO, is how smooth the lineart is. That's it. :/
See? wtf. I had a picture of a damn fox. :| Congratulations.

It'd be hard to tell you what single thing I'm having problems with. My first picture apparently ended with a big black box. I don't even..
My pen pressure is basically useless. I have it set to change opacity and size, but it's like it sometimes just doesn't know what on earth that means.
My eraser? Same problem, except it would seem I only have one size, and it's always fuzzy, even with the "hard" brush setting.
Cropping is a pain. Apparently it has to be done by eye. I don't get why it can't have an auto.
I've accidentally rotated the page I don't know how many times now. I've figured out how to get it to be perfectly set again without trying to do it by hand and failing.
What on earth is "Persistence"? I changed it and it just made my tablet stop working. I don't understand what's going on with that, but I get the feeling it's just the two programs not agreeing.
"vivid" - "deep" - what does this mean, even? O_o
What is the "legacy pen"? It only seems to have an option to have size adjusted by pressure. Why is it any different from the regular pen?
Do I have to fill in a white background to have a background at all in this program? That seems to be the consensus of everyone I've been talking to about it.
That's all I can really think of. I feel like I've gone back five years in skill and started working in The GIMP again. :/
