The white on is a trophy. Ultramarines are depicted as based on Roman culture, so I took the idea of pelts into the design.

Note: the tail is part of the pelt, not the occupant in the suit (think animatronicly animated). The wearer is a regular space marine. To enhance the image, the armor is decorated with aspects of a lion, to instill fear in his enemies.

no offense, but I play this game, and you should have gone with the Dark Angels since thier Primarch is named "Lion'el Johnson" and they always shout "FOR THE LION" when they charge into battle

i agree thier codex kinda sucks, but they are getting a new one shortly...but you have to admit that it might have fit better....my other two armies are chaos and orks...my orks are in my scraps...my chaos marines are called "Blood Tigers" and consist of white armor with red stripes all over outlined in black to bring out the red...all hand apinted shoulder icons of tiger heads and lots of other customization to them, took them to Adepticon and lots of people loved them along ieth the tiger pelt that I wore on my back
