Because here it is going to be cool soon, as the leaves start to fall and days get shorter...on Thursday for my water quality lab we went up to a local pond to take samples. There was a farm nearby, but as we walked on the grass path to the inlet of the pond, which reminded me more of a small lake, all we could see around us were trees water. It was really pretty.

Normally this time of the year is cool, but as of late it has been strangely hot. Today I was sweating in my shorts and t-shirts while I raked leaves. On Thursday we all took of our shoes and got into the pond, no one wanted to leave it. When I was sketching it for our site report, I had the urge to draw this picture.

So here's Merle, taking that last swim before it gets too cold. I left out the foliage as I didn't really want to use it here. I think this picture came out well :3
