TOOK AGES TO COMPLETE THIS!
I drew this ALL on corel painter! And coloured it on there!
Well if you can't see, Thoth's on the phone! Yes technology
has hit Egypt ;) His son Taruka ( who belongs to my boyfriend) is trying to help his father
out by picking up some books. But he's struggling!
There is one more on the floor left to pick up! And his younest
daughter with the peacock head called Rye is playing with a baby
sacred ibis ;)

Story to go along with it:
*Thoth was writing quickly, his mind set on the tasks he had
to get finished. He was actually retired, but no one else would know that
by looking at him. He was writing a VERY important letter to
Greece about the terrible financial crisis it had fallen into,
Re had told Thoth to put in the letter that Egypt would lend money
if they became broke. Thoth looked up suddenly when he heard
a buzzing sound, the Egyptians had recently addapted to phones!
Thoth picked up his touch screen phone and answered it, his
shoulder raised to keep it in place.
"Hello? Thoth speaking."
It was Re on the other side. Thoth smiled when he heard the
voice talking to him.
"I am very well Re how are you? See you are finally getting the
hang of phones, well done. May I ask why you are calling?"
The god waited as Re responded, he kept his smile.
"Yes I am writing the letter right now actually, It will be sent
in the next few hours, I'll send my fastest messenger so it
get's there in the next three days is that alright?"
He chuckled after a few seconds waiting. "Stop being rude
you cheeky sod...How are you anyway health wise?
Feeling any better?...A little bit? That's better than nothing
dear. I'll take a look at your medication later if you want,
I can up it again see how that goes."
Thoth looked round slightly when he saw his door open,
his son Taruka walked in, he saw a pile of books on the floor
that seemed to have been put there in mid-move. He looked
up at his father again.
"Do you want me to move them father?"
Thoth smiled and nodded, he couldn't say 'yes' because
Re was talking over the other side. Thoth smiled softly at
his son as a thank you.
Taruka smiled and started picking them up. Thoth chuckled quietly
again. "Well I'm glad you're feeling a bit better in youself
anyway, you were quite low yesterday when I saw you...
What my spine? Oh don't worry about that dear, I'm coping,
it's not terrible. Out of the wheel chair today...Yes I'll be
careful. You better do the same, just look after yourself Re."
Thoth stopped talking when he saw his son struggling to
pick up the last book on the floor. "Hang on Re, bare with me."
He smiled sympathetically at Taruka. "Taruka darling, you can
come back for the last book, you don't need to take them all
at the same time."
Taruka, reached out for the book shakily and just managed to
put it on the top of the pile, which he just put his beak on top
of to stableize a bit. He stood wobbily and walked out of Thoth's
study slowly. Thoth laughed gently as he watched Taruka exit
his workplace.
"Sorry, go on what were you saying?...Oh yes, yes that's fine,
I can be there tomrrow...No I promise I can be there, you
don't need to move the dinner, I am in the Courts as
Magistrate for about five hours tomorrow, I'll finish an hour
before the dinner, I can probably get ready and washed in
that time...May I ask what it's for again?...Oh just a gathering?
You're not planning on suprising us with something are you?
You nearly gave us all a heart attack last time when you said
your latest announcement."
He chuckled. "Well that'll be nice, a dinner party for everyone,
we haven't had one of those in a few months...Anyway, I've
got to get back to writing this letter, and I suppose I should
let you go too, you're probably busy with something or other
knowing you. Give Lilly and the family my love alright?...Yes
I'll watch my spine will you stop worrying?...Look after yourself
for once, all I'm doing is sitting in a chair writing for the next
few hours. But remember to come to me sometime this week
and I can see if I need to up your medication yes? I can't
help you if you won't let me...Alright then, you take care alright?
I'll see you sometime soon. Bye dear."
He stayed on the phone for a bit. He suddenly burst out laughing
when Re responded.
"You press the button with the red phone on the screen to hang up dear."
He smiled when he heard beep, a sound that Re had
succsesfully hung up. He put his phone down, and smiled,
he shouted out to Taruka.
"Are you alright with those books dear!?"
Taruka stood in the door smiling. "I put them somewhere safe in
the libary father...Is there anything else you wish me to
do?"
The wisdom god kept his warm smile at his son. "That is all
for now darling, thank you, I really appreciate it. That's saved
my back a lot of pain...All you can do to help me now is to
watch your sister."
Taruka nodded and bowed his head. "Yes father." He walked
out quickly to leave his father in peace.
Thoth smiled and got back to writing
