I'm so clever for making a FF7 reference! XP

This Kuwanyauma, or Kuwa for short. She is a Kiri; a custom race created by  IvoryTigress who also did the art for her. Kiri are a one winged race, but sometimes some of them simply can't master the special technique required to fly and those are forced to leave their villages as outcasts.

Kuwa found her way to the Wayward Inn, where she was ready to give up on ever flying. However, Tailswisher offered to give her a second chance. With a lot of effort and a lot of hir technological and magical talents Tailswisher managed to get a prosthetic wing attached to Kuwa's body. When it came time to test it out, Kuwa was resigned to failure, but with some positive encouragement, and non-stop pestering from Tailswisher, she managed to take off! For the first time in her life she was flying!

Kuwa returned to her village to show her family the good news, but upon seeing the prosthetic wing they shunned her for not being to follow their traditions and getting an outsider's help. They then banished her from the village. When she returned to Tailswisher she was in tears. Tailswisher offered her a place to stay in one of the estate's many rooms and she accepted, having no where else to go.

Kuwa now works at the Wayward Inn as a messenger delivering notes and packages from the inn to the nearby towns or to other people in the nearby area.


Fun fact: Kuwa's name means "to show beautiful wings" in Native American. ^^
