Thi are predatory insectoids, prone to nomadic lifestyles thanks to the destruction of their empire at the hands of self-replicating AI. Some wander peacefully, trading technology with less advanced species in return for shelter amongst their worlds, while others are more militant and invade worlds in their path.

Thi bear a passing resemblance to millipedes, wasps, and mantises, with numerous pairs of vestigial limbs that they use to grasp and manipulate large objects or prey, four legs tipped with wide triangular "shields", a pair of manipulatory limbs, and a pair of mantis-like arms lined with retractable spikes.

Their abdomen splits open to extend a pair of tentacle-like organs that double as stingers (packing a powerful, caustic hemotoxin that effectively makes targets "burst" open) and reproductive devices, while their head can split to reveal four sharp mandibles and a long, tongue-like proboscis.
