Ah, the Dark one. Preferred Fire and Light myself, since no one got any good healing spells but the Light Souls in that game, at least not until much later.

My absolute favorite would have to be Amon, I think- if only because of its OP moves. As for healing, I just had the other two characters chuck endless amounts of leaves/spells at Yuri if things got TOO dire. Baldo and Sandalphon did come in really nice handy, however.

I only recently played it, mostly on a whim, found it for 25 at a local game shop. Decided to get the sequel after, it's honestly better, but mostly a case of, things that were off in 1, they fixed in 2, meaning this team actually listened to the gamers, which is awesome. Also, saw a translated let's play of Kolika or whatever, game 0 of the franchise, the story of the British kid's mom, and how she ended up in that place.

I'll agree Covenant had it's pluses, buuuut...
WELL. I'll refrain from any unsavory comments and we'll just agree the first was decent enough I'll have to check out that playthrough of Koudelka too.
