This is my half of an art trade with FrightNight, a good friend that I met through SL who is also a wonderful artist himself with an interesting style that has kind of a Tim Burtonish kind of vibe to it. This is his character Mitzi, a vixen from his DreamCape Asylum comic. Mitzi is a patient in this asylum, but she's not necessarily insane in the traditional sense, but rather suffers from a chronic form of insomnia. She appears to be grumpy and very irritable, but at the same time remains a very serious individual. An interesting thing I noticed about all his sketches and drawings of this character is that I've never seen her standing. She always appears to be in some reclined state. This makes me wonder why. Is she too weak to stand? Is she paralyzed from the waist down? I guess only Fright could tell us. In terms of execution of this piece, I used prismacolors and tried to be just a little dynamic with them. The scanned version of course is not nearly as good as the original, but for the most part, I'm satisfied with this one. I hope Fright likes it too.
