I saved for last this cartoon I'm doing for an SF zine. The editor talked me into illustrating a story he wrote, an assignement I wasn't crazy about since I thought little of the story. It suggested no ideas either. But oddly enough, the habit I developed while doing pro illos for a West Coast magazine some years ago came to my rescue. Ideas came, slowly, but came all the same. This shows the electrocution of the protagonist at the start of the story, long before he finds out he's dead. At right you can see I started out with simple placement of shapes, and left the detail and firmer lines until later. The left hand side is already finished.
