So yeah I've been sitting on this secret since I got home...been wanting to get more pics posted before I shred my new surprise, but seeing as I got sick, and it has delayed things, here it is!!!
That would be Amy Sigil, Troupe Leader of Unmata and Kari One of the Awesome Long Time members of Unmata coming with me to get my Umlout/UmSigil Tattoo...
I thought I had died and gone to Heaven.
These Tattoos are kinda...special? nah that doesn't cut it. There are a good amount of people that have them, but like getting a phoenix tattoo ya kinda gotta earn it? Yeah that's about right. And I was lucky enough, Honored enough to have Amy and Kari come with me.
Then they proceeded to torture me and tease me through a 2 hour Improvisation Tribal Style Workshop (ITS) not even kidding about the workshop. I talked the talk, now I had to walk the walk, and I can say that blood sweat and tears went into that tattoo and I LOVE it.
Here is their most recent Tribal Fest performance in case you forgot who they are and their epicness.
I Miss them already :(
As Soon as I am cleared to fly I am out to Sacramento and freaking LIVE at Hot Pots Studio.
I am So freaking Happy SQUEE!!!!!! Dream Come true I tell ya what.
Oh and yes the pics of me with the fire sword are coming soon.

aww thank you! And I will be heading out to Hot Pots Studio in Sacramento just as soon as I am cleared to fly. Until then I am going to work my ass off at my own studio. Creating more pieces, duets with the studio owner, solos for myself, a duet with another dancer for this event in Ocean City etc etc.
Trust me if I could have flown back to SoCal with them I would have. I had SUCH fun in their workshops just like last time, and I tell ya what, having the umlout is kind of like....validation for all I have been through. That it WAS Worth it, that dragging my ass out of bead 6 months after brain surgery because of Amy's words was really the true inspiration I needed. I have been with this studio now for a year and I LOVE it. I can teach, I dance, work on new pieces, and am constantly challenged. I am making new friends at other studios, mostly Lotus in Ft.Lauderdale, and the ladies there, they are getting to know me better and vice verse. And of course meeting Amy, and Shelly and Kari (I haven't met Sara yet, but the other gal with red hair and dreads is Tjarda, and I have met her) I NEED to get a chance to go out to California, and I know what the time is right I will be there.
Trust me as soon as I kick being sick and finish recovering there will be a LOT of stuff from me. Art wise, Dance wise all of it.

Ah yes, that was where I got the original Umlout (Unmata) tattoo done with the troupe leader. The artist I hate to say did an ok job, but not the best. He was cutting corners by using just 1 machine instead of one for inking and shading and one for color (I JUST asked my tattoo artist yesterday when I got it "spruced up" and he said it's not a BAD thing to do per-say, but a sort of cutting corners thing to do) there were some mistakes with the way he did the color, in these pics it's fresh, but when it healed, it sorta looked like it was done in crayon. Also I was GROSSLY over charged (when you take a look at the pics below, the stuff I had done yesterday was $80, and the one you see in this pic was $100). But seeing as it was a once in a lifetime kinda thing to do, get the troupe symbol with the troupe LEADER (in from Sacramento), get to be a part of their 10 year anniversary book and such -shrugs- growing up with a dad as a body piercer and IN tattoo parlors, I knew the risks.
But yeah their shop was pretty neat. Do you have a portfolio of your tattoo work? I would LOVE to see it. I absolutely ADORE tattoo art/artists, it's one of the most unique mediums of art out there IMO. The human body is a difficult canvas, and to be able to do the things you all do, I KNOW takes work and is very hard.
But yeah, if you haven't seen it, this is the completed version of the one in the picture done by the same guy who did my starfish, GREAT artist. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/857...../#cid:59032140 (it looks bright orange but it's actually a rather light yellow orange, it was just the lighting of the pic that made it seem darker) and a pic of my starfish in better light http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7197582/ I have the original Flash for Both.

wow your stuff is really amazing! Not that I am super surprised with the artwork you do. It must be awesome at the FurCons, doubt there are many other tattoo artists there, though honestly I don't know I have yet to attend a con, But I'm working on it, I recently did a performance using monster make up to look like my jackalope. It was pretty interesting dancing in a full rack of antlers and facial prosthesis.
Thank you so much for sharing your work with me. I absolutely adore tattoos and the artists that create them, because like I said. it's a hard medium.
Maybe one day we can meet and I can get some ink from ya :)

I just thought of a question for ya. The two pieces I have had done on my shoulders...for SOME weird reason, the parts near my collar bone, not on it but near it have bruised. I am on my 13th tattoo and most of mine are not small, but these two are the ONLY ones that have bruised, and it's always the parts toward the inside near my collar bone area.
What's up with that? My Tattoo artist isn't heavy handed or anything, and he wasn't drilling on me either time. Albeit the starfish has a LOT of shading and color, but this one is just a paint splat, one outline and some shading...simple. Have you ever heard of that before? I can get a pic of the bruises if that would help.

Lysette Even if this picture is much older, it must have been exhilarating to know that one day... you'll get to perform live on stage. I imagine that it all went well?
Thank you! I have actually performed many times on stage, with those fabulous humans AND was even in a dance movie!
I’d be happy to show you my YouTube and Instagram if you’d like to see my dancing 😁
