Really needed a new devID, and because my last one was rather makeshift (a smaller version of Reign's Halloween 2010 picture)...I figured it was high time I made one for myself that was actually meant to be used as an ID. One of my ideas was to include Reign and my other characters alongside myself in this new ID but that would no doubt take me forever so I just stuck with the real me instead. Been working on this since April on and off in GIMP so it's taken a good while to get done, but I don't see much more I can do with it so there it is.
Kind of struggled a bit for awhile thinking of what to do for the background, as I wanted it to be a bit urban and also represent my NJ roots, so I went with this zoomed out look of Earth while incorporating some cool effects...and letting New Jersey stick out right behind me so it would play a prominent role in this ID's theme. You know me enough by now to know I love my home state and can't miss out on a chance to rep it the best way I know how.
As for myself here...well, it's pretty much based off of real clothes and stuff I own. :b Most of which has already shown up in some pics of me before, like the black collared shirt, the skull hat, and the Leo zodiac necklace and the dogtag necklace. Even used a few textures from the actual clothes, like on my jeans and my hat for example. I couldn't pass up including putting my love of Nintendo on display, so that kind of shows up on the old-school "Know Your Roots" t-shirt under my other shirt. Admittedly I don't wear a shirt over my tees all the time like I thought I was going to get more into and like most of my recent photos show, but considering it's kind of the image of myself I wanted to put out there...well, I went with it anyways (and I probably should just start wearing all those other collared shirts over my tees like the plaid ones I own in any case).

Anyways...gonna just leave it at that and say...I'm glad this is finally finished. :P Dunno when I'll get around to actually uploading some real art again...but eh, when it comes it'll come I guess.

Heh, thanks dude. :) I spent a lot of time on the coloring and shading process. These days I work more in WIP layers, compared to saving a WIP as a .png when the active layers get merged into one. That got messy at times so I'm thankful GIMP has a .xcf file format that saves WIPs as individual layers.
