There is this smallish chain of southwestern cuisine restaurants in the area called 'Dos Coyotes' which, while not actual authentic Mexican faire, gives off an amazing atmosphere - the interior of the restaurants resemble a desert ranch and canyons, with walls designed to look like cliffs. Rather appropriately, decorative coyotes are scattered about in many shapes in forms (from abstract, to even While E.).
Needless to say, earlier today (or yesterday), I was dining in one of these restaurants, when inspiration struck (with a little tweeting help) to do a literal interpretation - two southwestern coyotes preparing a dish - and proceeded to promptly begin work on it for fear of eventual forgetfulness. Overall, I'm satisfied with the turnout... even if the male 'yote looks a bit like Francis Gris.

we had one here in roseville for a while. it was next to borders books. some developer's idea of cuteness putting them next to each other like that.
my wife and i used to go there quite often when we lived within a few blocks of it. that's been almost ten years ago when we did though.
i know the borders isn't there any more. i'm not sure of the dos is or not. they had some really cool artwork that was part of the franchise too.
there was this kind of flat statue kind of thing, i'm not sure what to call it, of the two of them, with a counterweight that swung back and forth that made their tails wag in the window.
it was made to look like stained glass.
