The mist takes its toll on the clarity of the world, forcing reason to its knees and raising wants and needs with outstretched arms to the heavens in a mad struggle for happiness. It is here that the life of the void shows, and here that the death of all difference between harmony and discord becomes evident.

This is the only cool thing I've ever painted in the history of ever. The excerpt above is directly from the giant-ass book of stories and poems that I've been putting together for the last three years. It won't be done for a long, long time.
Also, it's a bit hard to tell since this is abstract, but she does have both arms and that thing resting on her chest is a gas mask. The gun however should be easy to recognize as an M-16. An actual M-16, not an M4.

I realize this is a very belated response, but I'll just put it this way:
The AK-47 (and the -74, and the -107) is ugly, and made of old tank parts, and has wooden things, and is short.
The M-16 is pretty, and made of new gun parts, and has plastic things, and is long and smooth.
They're very different guns :D
