Wow, nice picture! I think in this case the inability to see their eyes captures the emotion of the scene far more. A sadness so strong it can't be reflected through those windows to the soul. Or I could be over thinking, but I do love the pic.

It's a very nice and emotional picture. Only thing I'd say as a critqiue/suggetion would be about the color choice of your background. It may send conflicting ideas in the viewer about whether its a 'sad' sad scene, or a some what sad 'love' scene. Of course, it depends onyour intent, but overall the emotion of the characters body language comes through nicely.

Well, after reading the comment earlier on Chip not hugging him back, that got me thinking towards another direction. Upon looking at the picture again with this idea, the picture is of a situation that happens all to often. The fact that the arms (hands) are not seen, enable for it to be a generic idea and not a specific instance. To me it basically represents loss. In Chips hands could be baggage for him to to to college, could be a baby carrier, baggage for him to leave for a new job, possibly getting called up to serve in the armed forces, mabe a ring on his finger can not be seen on his hand, or since his hands are not seen, it could be a feeling or idea like his parents not letting him play with Dale again because Dale is different in some way, be it preference, religion, color, or political ideals...any way you put it, it means things will be different from that point on, it spells out loss.

Really sad if you look at it that way :( Nice picture though. Possibly make a happy picture next where Chip changes his mind, dropps the physical/emotional baggage, and hugs Dale Back? :)

If I ever revive my old Rescue Rangers fan fiction, or start a new one, I'll really have to keep this in mind. I agree completely; I think there is a powerful bond between Chip and Dale, without it nescesarily being sexual, as some of more perverted fans always assume.
