That's about as far as I got in Mother 3 before quitting due to language barriers :P

You really don't need to know any Japanese to go through the game since it's pretty linear. Try using a translation guide and the Menu patch from Starmen if you want to get through it.

But that makes the game super slow paced and it's almost impossible to enjoy all the coolio dialogue in the game. No go until the translated patch comes out.

Sakurai has mentioned in the past that he wanted to replace Ness with Lucas in Melee, but Mother 3 was never released. Now that it has, the switch is pretty much done.

YAH. I saw Sakurai on the street the other day. I was all, "Is there any chance of Ness still being a main? You really need to expand the Mother love."

And he caught me in his gaze, icy like an icebox full of ice and said, "Ness is dead. Lucas killed him. Don't cry for that child, all things pass."

It was the saddest day of my life, and I'm gonna cry every time I play Brawl or whistle the theme from Earthbound or see a dead puppy.
