For years now, I've liked to think of myself as a Daddy figure to a number of people online. I have more joyful memories of being a Daddy than I can count, and the few unhappy ones I've learned from and grown as a better, more experienced person for it.

There are children who've been with me for years now. Some have moved on, some have been too busy to talk much. I love each and every one of them, and my only hope is that they find joy and security in their lives, regardless of whether it involves me or not.

To be honest, and I'm sad to admit this, I haven't met even a single one of my cubs in person yet. But I am young, and they are young, and the time is drawing near where the thought of flying across the country to meet each and every one of them is more than just a distant promise. I will find my way to them and hold them in my arms, and together we will leave behind even sweeter memories to share forever.
