I've been doing a gemstone theme for the indie game I'm making. The custom gems I made were pretty nice, though I had to shrink them down significantly to turn them into icons.

What resolution you using? it's pretty tough indeed when you have to work with really small stuff.

My concept art was between 200-600 DPI, but when importing them into my game, I had to shrink them down to 72, plus shrink the icons even smaller to fit in the UI.
