Hey there folks! =D here's something a little different... an NPC for anyone who writes Voyage stories to use! ^_^ Quite happy with how his design turned out as well as the design for his Jolly Rodger up there in the left corner so enjoy!

I’d like you all to say hello to Doppa “Black Market” Victual, Captain of the Gerat Pirate (Gerat is German for equipment or gadget). This particular group of pirates travel around in a large submarine and are what you’d call the “Science Merchants of the Sea” since they do very little pirating and instead sell technology and drugs that would usually be inaccessible to the common pirate or person.

They sell weaponry such as high powered cannons, gattling guns, and other dangerous creations as well as various doping drugs, toxins, and other chemical warfare methods and upgrades for ships usually only available to marines. Most recently, due to finding a few abandoned research labs of one Alex Liratten and raiding the research and notes inside, they have added crude cyborg parts to their sales stock including arms, legs, and others (survival of instillation on these parts NOT guaranteed).

They’ll sell to anyone who can afford their prices and due to having several brilliant scientists in multiple fields as part of their crew, Doppa included, they’re always creating new methods to kill people to sell. Unfortunately anyone who dares to come looking for their wares without the cash to afford them will likely die… or worse receive some of the “Untested” stock... after all they need to see what it does in the field before they put it to market. Survival rates of these tests are low and many groups have been wiped out thanks to them… much to Doppa’s delight. To quote him on it…

"Giiiiihehehehe! In this world there are those with power and those without! Those with it will seek out more and those without will do anything to have it! That's progress! So you see I provide a valuable serve to the world... what are 10s, 100s, 1000s of lives in the name of progress! An acceptable cost if there ever was one! Giiiihehehehehe!!!"

Yep… not a pleasant guy at all and while he lacks a devil fruit power he makes up for it by having various toxins, drugs, and weapons on hand… as well as not being shy about using his “modifications” on the more expendable members of his crew such as the one you see behind you. Doppa though his tauros crewmember getting his arms ripped off would be a PERFECT chance to test the more advanced cyborg parts they’d cobbled together… and it quite pleased with their success despite all the screaming.

Anyway these guys wander the seas selling their wares and rarely attack unless it’s to steal tech or drugs they don’t have yet or have never seen before. After all why work to create something when somebody will do it for you? So if you’re writing Voyage and you need to explain where your crew got some high tech supplies (within reason) then here’s you’re excuse =3 so long as you pay the fee Doppa and the Gerat Pirates are at your service!
