Was watching "Daria" and it was an episode that featured Jodie Landon through out most of the episode so i figured id try and draw her. This also gave me a chance to practice drawing a character that is black i don't draw many black characters, mostly because some people tend to nitpick, but this time i wouldn't mind some tips from people. One thing i would change is I would make her skin a tad lighter

Being black myself i say you did a great job. the difference in drawing black chicks to white chicks is the skin, the lips, and the hair.(most of the time) sometimes the nose but not often. you did a great job making the lips fuller and putting dreads for the hair. body type is all the same as any other girl, but those are the key things to drawing proper black girls in manga style. (to my "self knowledge" really)
one thing id mention is you don't have to make the lips bright red, unless she's wearing bright red lipstick.
