Indeed, tough I don't think there's any branch of actual science that uses a combination of amethyst chrystals, Anaglyph 3D goggles and beakers of bubbly green liquids...

It's kinda like this, there's science, a method of studying the natural world trough tests and empirical observations and SCIENCE! which is long flowly lab coats, tesla coils for no reason, crazy goggles, test tubes full of glowy colourful chemicals and the complete lack of concepts such as scientific rigour or control groups. The first one is how science ACTUALLY works, the second how it works in cartoons and extremely bad movies. It's not accurate, but a LOT more fun to illustrate...

SCIENCE! is the best kind of science, then. :D
